Your Own Observatory!
Daytime Observations
(Weather Permitting)

Take command of the Observatory with a mini-workshop designed to familiarize you with how it functions, how you plan observations, and how you digitally control the telescope for the best practices on how to safely and efficiently use it for observations.
You will be able to observe the Moon in natural light; and if the sun is also visible, you can observe the Sun in white light: both in high detail with up to 300 times magnification. Depending on the phase of the moon, and whether or not there are spots on the sun you'd be able to identify wonderful features we can focus on during your tour.

Feel free to bring a guest to share this experience with you, and you're welcome to take pictures of what we observe using your own cell phone as we have an adapter for that.

Nighttime Observations
(Weather Permitting)
1 hour / $120
Take command of the Observatory with a mini-workshop designed to familiarize you with how it functions, how you assign observations, and how you digitally control the telescope for the best practices on how to safely and efficiently use it for observations.

You will be able to observe any available objects of interest in natural light in high detail with up to 300 times magnification. Our own 'visible tonight' catalog has dozens of fun to look at objects from planets, moons, stars, galaxies, nebulae, and clusters. With a touch of a button, you slew the telescope to the next object of interest, and we will try to find as many of them as possible during your tour.

Observatory Workshop
(Anytime)
1 hour / $80
Whether you have a STEM project, or a thirst for knowledge in Astronomy, Observatories, or Telescopes; this professional hour-long workshop will awaken the astronomer that you can be. We will use the telescope and other peripherals; and weather permitting, we may make observations. You may take pictures and notes, and you can take an Accomplishment Certificate for your experience.
Feel free to bring a partner with you on this unique tour.
